Our School at a Glance

Goldberg Montessori School is the oldest Jewish Montessori Early Childhood/Kindergarten program in the Southwest region of the United States. It combines a rich Judaic curriculum with the motivational Montessori guidelines set down by Maria Montessori over 100 years ago. In 1977, GMS began with one classroom and a Mother’s Day Out program and has now grown to five primary classrooms (three to six year olds) and four toddler classrooms (eighteen months to three year olds). We are proud to employ a staff of wonderfully dedicated, certified, and talented teachers. Goldberg Montessori School is licensed by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services as well as a full member of the American Montessori Society.

The Montessori concept of education allows children to experience the joy of learning at an early age, and provides an environment in which intellectual, moral, physical, spiritual and social growth flourish. The classroom is divided into different work areas ranging from practical life, which involves exercises that help teach care of oneself and the environment, and control of movement, to the academic areas such as math and language. GMS differs from other Montessori preschools in that Judaic content is intentionally infused throughout each area of the classrooms.
